Starting out, I found myself seeing “cinematic photography” quite regularly. I leaned in a little more to learn more about it and fell in love with this style. By definition, it is a style of still photography that aims to evoke the look and feel of motion pictures. This is the look I want to achieve through my lens.

Hi friends, I am Samantha Thorne, I better prefer Sam.
This started as a hobby and an unknown desire of my heart. I found myself feeling a need to take the leap of making this a reality. I’ve felt God’s hand and presence guiding me through every step and instilling confidence in doing this. I’ve seen a rapid growth in skill and I am in awe of the work I’ve seen the Lord do in me. My prayer is that my story inspires you to also trust God, in the guidance of whatever you do.
I feel that there is something truly special about documenting life’s moments. Something about having a still frame frozen in time. The simple moments that capture your true selves are much more than posed, planned photos(which are still good). This is the backbone of how I do things. My desire is to freeze moments to cherish for a lifetime.
